Comprehensive line for onions in Ukraine

Check out a photo gallery and a video showing our brand new line at work. The line was assembled early 2019 in Ukraine.
The line consists of two parts: a receiving, preparation and grading part and a packaging part. Between the receiving part and the packaging part, there is a buffer section, consisting of three bunkers with a total capacity of 40 tons of onions. Each bunker can receive a grade chosen by the operator. In each bunker two shock absorbers were installed. They prevent damages and ensure an even distribution of onions in the bunker. In addition, the bunkers were equipped with high-performance ventilators controlled from the touch panel.

Full configuration

The line has been designed in a way that allows the product to pass on any path on selected machines. The above-mentioned functionality is guaranteed by mechanical, electrical and software assumption of the line design: there are machines installed on linear guides, by-pass conveyors, position sensor system, electrically controlled pneumatic partitions and central control box.

Central control

The operation of all line elements is controlled centrally. The line is equipped with a 15-inch Mitsubishi touch panel of the highest series (model GT2715) and an additional 4-inch panel, by which the bunkers’s ventilators are controlled. Up to 20 recipes can be stored in the controller's memory. Within each of the recipes, the operator can not only decide on the machines used in the procces, but also fully parameterize their operation, setting for each individual drive the desired start delay and running speed. Thanks to connecting to the Internet, the line control software can be operated remotely, which ensures full and immediate support by the KMK service.
